(WUSA9) -- A photographer with Getty Images was there when thousands of revellers gathered atStonehengenear Armesbury, England to mark the summer solstice.
Revellers gathered as druids, pagans and revellers at the 5,000 year old stone circle in Wiltshire to see the sunrise on the Summer Solstice dawn. Rollo Maughfling, the Archdruid of Stonehenge and Britain, conducted a dawn ceremony.
As you may know, the solstice sunrise marks the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere.
