BOWIE, Md. (WUSA9) -- A school bus drove into a yard in Bowie on Tuesday morning, striking ata parked car in the drivewayof a home, say police.

The incident happenedin the 14900 block ofNighthawk Lane in Bowie at approximately 6:45 a.m..

A Prince George's County police spokesperson says the bus driver was having chest pains and blacked out. The driver lost control and ended up in the front lawn, says the spokesperson.

The bus struck a parked car, which hit another parked car, says the spokesperson. No one was inside either car and no students were on the bus. The bus never hit the house.

The driver suffered non-life threatening injuries and was transported to a hospital, say police.
