WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- A Metropolitan Police Department spokesperson saysfour people were stabbednear a homeless shelter in Northwest Washington on Monday.

The stabbing happened in the 400 block of 2nd St. NW, across the street from the Mitch Snyder Homeless Shelter, at approximately 9:20 a.m.,say authorities.

All the victims suffered non-life threatening injuries, say authorities, and were transported to the hospital.

Police have a lookout for"a black male with dark complexion about 5' 11" in height, wearing blue jeans and a white tank-top-type shirt with short dreadlocks."
