WASHINGTON D.C. (WUSA9) -- The George Washington University Hospital will be offering free stroke screenings to the general public this Friday, May 10th, from 8 am to 1 pm outside the Foggy Bottom Metro station on the GW plaza.
As the third leading cause of death in this country, this preventive screening can help lower stroke risk.
This process is important for adults 45 and older who have any of the following risk factors: past stroke, overweight, male of African American descent, or those whosuffer from high blood pressure or high cholesterol.
