ALEXANDRIA, Va. (WUSA9) -- It looks like people in Alexandria really love to read. According to Amazon, Alexandria is the Most-Well Read City In America.

For the third year, Amazon ranked cities based on sales data of book, magazine and newspapers in print and in theKindle format since June 1, 2012 on a per capita basis in cities with more than 100,000 residents, says Amazon.

Alexandria also ranked number 1 in 2012 andnumber 2in 2011.

Thebest-selling book overall in Alexandria was the novel "Gone Girl," according to Amazon.It was followed by the "Fifty Shades" trilogy.
