Atlanta, GA (Sports Network) - In response to the recent events that took place at the Boston Marathon on Monday, Southeastern Conference commissioner Mike Slive and ESPN president John Skipper announced that a press conference for the anticipated new SEC network has been postponed on Tuesday.

Although no official statements have been made yet, both organizations are expected to announced that the two have agreed to form a new SEC-centered sports network.

Southeastern Conference Commissioner Mike Slive and ESPN President John Skipper said in a joint statement, "In light of the tragedy in Boston today, we have decided to postpone Tuesday's SEC/ESPN press conference in Atlanta. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of those affected by these horrible events."
