WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- The first vote in Congress on President Barack Obama's gun control proposals is set for Thursday. It remains unclear whether there are enough votes to pass the new gun legislation.

Family members of Sandy Hook Elementary victims have been on Capitol Hill all week lobbying for support of gun control.

Jillian Soto, the sister of Victoria Soto who was one of 26 people killed last December at Sandy Hook Elementary, and Chief Jim Johnson of the Baltimore County Police Department joined us on Thrusday.
