WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- Screech and Teddy Roosevelt joined us the morning of Opening Day at Nationals Park.As you may remember, Teddy finally made it across the finish line first last season after winning in the playoffs.

He talked to us -- sort of -- about his new racing partner President Taft. We asked if he can beat Taft, and he gave us the thumbs up. By the way, Taft didn't make it out with us early Monday morning. Teddy indicated that it was because Taft was still sleeping. Perhaps he's trying to rest up for the big race?

The Nationals Pack also joined us. They know how tocreate some excitement: thefirst 20,000 people to enter Nationals Park on Opening Day get a Nats hat.
