WOODBRIDGE, Va. (WUSA9) -- Sunday, detectives investigated a child neglect call in Woodbridge and police say they found four children were left alone at a home.

According to police, a woman told police 37-year-old Sabina Lisseth Cerna Smith asked her to watch her four children, who are between the ages of 6 and 10, on Friday. The woman told police she went over to Cerna Smith's home in the 16000 block of Crest Drive in Woodbridge and found Cerna Smith was gone, and her children were there alone.

On Sunday, Cerna Smith was still reportedly missing and the woman contacted police.

Cerna Smith was found Sunday evening and arrested after police say they found the "conditions of the home were unfit." The children were not injured but, due to the conditions, the children were placed in foster care, say police.

Cerna Smith is charged with felony child neglect, according to police.
