FREDERICK, Md. (WUSA9) -- A 30-year-old man is accused of driving to an eighth grade girl's house in Maryland and taking her back to his home to have sex with her, say Frederick Police Department officials.
According to police, in 2010, when Ivan Alexander Angulo was 27 years old he solicited an eight grade student to engage in a sexual relationship. Police say their investigation revealed that Angulo drove from his home in Frederick to her home in Hagerstown to pick her up and then bring her back to his house. There, the two allegedly engaged in sexual acts including intercourse. Police say after that the two stayed in a sexual relationship for approximately a year.
In June 2012, the sexual offense was reported to police, say officials. The police then interviewed the girl who reported the relationship, say police.
Last Friday, the case was presented to the Frederick County Grand Jury and Angulo was charged with three counts of third degree sex offense. Angulo was arrested Thursday at his home. Police say he also had an outstanding warrant in Washington County, Md. which was also served to him at the time of his arrest.
