LEONARDTOWN, Md. (WUSA9) - St. Mary's County Authorities announced Saturday that the Boil Water Advisory for residents of Great Mills has been lifted.

The St. Mary's County Metropolitan Commission completed water testing, and found the water to be safefor drinking or cooking.

The Boil Water Advisory had been in effect following a water main break Thursday night along Rt. 246 (Great Mills Road).
