Dayton, OH (Sports Network) - Kevin Dillard finished with 18 points and eight assists as the Dayton Flyers defeated the St. Bonaventure Bonnies, 75-63, in Atlantic 10 Conference action at UD Arena.
Vee Sanford chimed in with 14 points and four assists for Dayton (17-12, 7-8 A-10) as it collected its third win in a row. Dyshawn Pierre and Josh Benson scored 12 and 11 points, respectively.
Demitrius Conger paced the Bonnies (14-14, 7-8) with 22 points on 8-of-11 shooting from the field. Eric Mosley added 13 points for SBU, which had won its past three games.
The Flyers used a 7-0 run to go ahead by as many a nine points in the first half before they took a 32-27 lead into the intermission. SBU went 11-of-23 from the floor including 4-of-7 from beyond the arc, but Dayton was slightly better as it made 12-of-23 from the field and 5-of-10 from 3-point range.
SBU cooled off to shoot 39.4 percent from the floor over the final 20 minutes. The Flyers pulled away by sinking 13-of-16 at the charity stripe in the second stanza.
Dayton enjoyed a 32-27 edge in the rebounding battle.
