Is sequestration throwing a wet blanket on the social scene? It has been relatively quiet around town, except for the First Lady who seems to be everywhere. She appeared in Mississippi, then did some "mom dancing" with Jimmy Fallon and announced an Oscar.
Speaking of the Oscars, one of the bright spots has to be D.C. natives winning an award. Sean and Andrea Fine won for their documentary "Inocente" about a teen who is homeless after some awful circumstances. The teen is determined to be an artist despite the circumstances. The Fines have roots in D.C. television.
