WASHINGTON, DC (WUSA) -- There's money in hidden in your child's closet.

According to a new survey by the resale website, thredUp, the nation's capital is the the third savviest city when it comes to recycled clothing sales.

D.C. consumers saved some $48,000 buying and reselling used clothing for children.

Atlanta, thesecond ranked city,saved about thousand dollars.
