FORESTVILLE, Md. (WUSA) -- A man was arrested on Tuesday in the murder of Charles Robert Thompson last Friday.

The suspect is identified as 25-year-old Sean Prince Hallowell of the 2500 block of Timbercrest Drive in Forestville, Md, police say.

According to Police, officers were called to a firehouse last Friday in the 1400 block of Ritchie Marlboro Road for a shooting. Once they arrived, police say they found Thompson suffering from a gunshot wound. Officials say he was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

After an investigation, police learned that the scene of the shooting was actually the 2600 block of Timbercrest Drive in Forestville. After the shooting, police say that Hallowell drove Thompson to the firehouse and then fled the area.

Police say Hallowell is charged with first degree murder and is being held at the Department of Corrections on a no bond status.
