DISTRICT HEIGHTS, Md. (WUSA) -- Days after a shooting at the Stardust Lounge, its owners received a violation notice from the Prince George's County Police Department ordering the adult entertainment club to close.

The owners of the Stardust Lounge in the 5400 block of Marlboro Pike in District Heights received the order on February 8.

According to police, the club had been open "without the required use and occupancy permit." Police also say a shooting there on February 6 "presented an imminent danger to the safety and welfare of the public."

The Stardust Lounge will remain closed pending the outcome of an appeals hearing.
