Cape Girardeau, MO (Sports Network) - Glenn Cosey scored 21 points and Eric Stutz hung up a double-double as the Eastern Kentucky Colonels pulled out an 81-72 win over the Southeast Missouri Redhawks in Ohio Valley Conference play at Show Me Center.
Stutz had 12 points and 11 rebounds, Mike DiNunno added 18 points, Tarius Johnson put in 14 and Marcus Lewis chipped in 10 for Eastern Kentucky (17-6, 7-3 OVC) which snapped a two-game slide.
Corey Wilford had a game-high 27 points and Tyler Stone contributed 16 for Southeast Missouri State (11-13, 3-7) which has lost seven of its last eight.
In the first half the Redhawks shot a blistering 60 percent from the field. The Colonels hung around by shooting 51.9 percent while hitting 5-of-11 from 3-point range. SEMO had a slim 40-38 lead at the break.
After halftime Eastern Kentucky hit on 53.8 percent of its shots from the floor while SEMO cooled to 35.7 percent shooting to surrender the decision.
Eastern Kentucky had a 27-12 edge in points from 3-point range and a 20-13 advantage in points off turnovers.
