GLEN BURNIE, Md. (WUSA) -- A Glen Burnie man is accused of trying to rob another man in the 6600 block of Ritchie Highway on Sunday afternoon.

A 26-year-old man at the Shell gasoline station told police he fled to the gas station after a man tried to rob him. The victim says he was approached by a man who demanded money. The victim refused and started to walk away but the other man grabbed him. The victim was assaulted before he was able to flee towards the gas station. The suspect chased him for a bit but then fled towards Giant Food.

Officers later found a man matching the suspect description in the area of Ritchie Highway and West Ordnance Road. The victim identified him as the person who assaulted him and attempted to take his money.

Twenty-six-year-old William Reginald Epps Jr. was arrested.
