WALDORF, Md. (WUSA) -- A man is charged with second degree assault after allegedly holding a camera underneath a woman's dress at a store this week.

According to Charles County Sheriff's Office authorities, on Tuesday afternoon a woman was standing in the aisle at B.J.'s Wholesale Foods in the 1000 block of St. Nicholas Drive in Waldorf when she felt something on her leg. When the woman looked, she saw a man holding a camera underneath her dress and trying to take a photo. The woman yelled and the man fled.

Security officers and sheriff's deputies later caught the man, say authorities. The man told them his name was Alvern Harris, however, a fingerprint check showed officers he was 25-year-oldKevin Edward Harvey of Washington, D.C.

Harvey was charged with second-degree assault, visual surveillance with prurient intent and providing a false name to a law enforcement officer.
