LEXINGTON PARK, Md. (WUSA) -- A 43-year-old woman is charged after authorities say she stole and forged a prescription from a physician's office and then passed it at a St. Mary's County pharmacy.
Janet Theresa Sanders of Lexington Park was charged with forgery and obtaining a prescription by fraud after she was found with a prescription that was stolen from a physician's office in Baltimore, say St. Mary's County authorities. They say the prescription was forged and passed at a local pharmacy.
Sanders allegedly obtained promethazine with codeine known on the street as "Purple Drink."
She is awaiting a preliminary hearing.
