MANASSAS, Va. (WUSA) - The much-talked about creature known as Bigfoot is real, says a Texas veterinarian, according to a story reported by The Huffington Post.
The website reports that Melba S. Ketchum did a five-year study of DNA samples that she believes are from the elusive creature.
Ketchum's team of researchers has determined that Bigfoot may be a human relative that developed about 15,000 years ago from a hybrid cross of an unknown primate and homo sapiens (aka humankind), according to The Huffington Post.
9News' Ken Molestina visited Virginia to see what observers think about the chances that Bigfoot, sometimes called Sasquatch, is real, and why we're so fascinated by the elusive hairy one. See the above video for his report.
