WASHINGTON, D.C. (WUSA) - For 45 minutes straight Sen. Mark Warner took questions on Twitter concerning the fiscal cliff.
Since being part of the bipartisan gang of six which developed a deficit reduction plan, he's determined to help forge a compromise before the end of the year.
With an assistant taking on the typing duties, Senator Warner told a questioner that going over the cliff would be especially hard on poor school districts which receive Title One money.
Sen Warner explained that a still-viable solution the gang of six came up with was two dollars in cuts for every dollar of spending.
Sen. Warner has met with 80 big-name CEOs who are banding together to pressure Congress to reduce the deficit with use of both tax revenue increases and spending cuts.
