WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- Pennsylvania Ave., NW, between 3rd and 14th street is scheduled to be repaved beginning Tuesday night, the District of Transportation (DDOT) said.
The project is expected to take about 10 days beginning with the right lanes of eastbound Pennsylvania Ave. Two lanes will be repaved at a time between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m., Monday through Saturday.
Bike lanes will be unavailable when the center of the roadway is being repaved. The project will also include re-striping of the bicycle lanes.
"[At times] bicyclists will need to share the travel lanes with motor vehicles," DDOT said in a press release. "At least one lane in each direction will be open for traffic at all times."
