FREDERICK, Md. (WUSA) -- A man was arrested for pulling a gun out in a road rage incident in Frederick on Sunday morning, police said.

Quinn Thomas Hurley, 25, of Frederick, was charged in the incident, after pulling his car up next to another motorist, driving in the wrong direction in traffic and pointing the gun at the person, police said.

"The victim immediately slammed on the brakes to let the suspect go by. The victim then began to follow the suspect's vehicle while calling the police on his cell phone," police said in a news release.

Hurley had dropped the gun off at a relative's house, by the time he was arrested.

"It was determined that the gun was a 'look alike'revolver that only fired pellets," police said.

Hurley has been charged with:

  • First Degree Assault
  • Second Degree Assault
  • Reckless Endangerment

After his first appearance in court, Hurley was held on a $10,000 bond.
