ALEXANDRIA, Va. (WUSA) -- An Alexandria family is desperately searching for their loved one who's been missing for two weeks.

Superstorm Sandy hindered search and rescue operations for 64-year-old Mohammad Yazdani.

This morning was the first time Fairfax County Police have had a chance to resume the search. Dogs and search teams scoured Huntley Meadows Park, the last area blood hounds received a scent.

But that was before the storms. Yazdani suffers from dementia and his daughters, Myra and Frishta, are distraught and hoping they find their father.

Yazdani has walked away before but never for this long. He was only wearing sweat pants and a sweatshirt when he disappeared.
