WALDORF, Md. (WUSA) -- The reward offered for information in the shooting death of Teresa Bass of Waldorf has increased to $20,000, say Charles County Sheriff's Office authorities.

Sheriff Rex Coffey authorized an increase to the Crime Solvers reward andthe St. Charles Companies, the Hampshire Neighborhood Association, Property Management Enterprises, and the Hampshire Townhome Association each offered an additional $5,000 to bring the total to $20,000.

Police continue to investigate the shooting of Bass and her husband Jerry in the Hampshire neighborhood on Oct. 26. and want people to come forward with any information they may have about the shooting.

Jerry and Teresa Bass were shot early last Friday night while walking their dog on a bike path just a few blocks from their home. Teresa Bass, a nurse and mother, was killed. Jerry Bass, who a neighbor says is a Montgomery County firefighter,was seriously injured and taken to the hospital.

The Charles County Sheriff's Department released a sketch of a possible suspect and, according to authorities, have passed out thousands of fliers.
