TAKOMA PARK, Md. (WUSA) -- A man from Maryland and another man from New York are charged for robbing the Maple Market last month.

According to Takoma Park Police, 20-year-old Garhett C. Adams of Laurel, Md. walked in the store and robbed an employee at gunpoint on September 25 while 20-year-old Ricardo Antron of Brooklyn, New York stood as look-out. The two men were allegedly able to steal property from the store in the 7500 block of Maple Avenue and fled in a car northbound towards Sherman Avenue to Carroll Avenue.

Takoma Park Police identified Adams as a suspect and say they worked with Prince George's County Police "on several robberies that Adams was believed to be involved in" before the county detectives searched his home. Takoma Park Police say that officers found items linking Adams to the robberies.

The investigation also lead detectives to Antron and they searched his temporary residence in Maryland. That search reportedly led to some evidence.

Adams and Antron were charged witharmed robbery, 1st degree assault, 2nd degree assault, use of a handgun during a felony, theft over $1,000 and conspiracy to commit all of the offenses. Adams is being held in Prince George's County Jail waiting to be transferred to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit. Antron is being held at the central processing unit.
