WASHINGTON, DC (WUSA) -- If you drive a 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe SUV, you'll want to know this.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is investigating a steering problem. The probe has found a fastener can come loose, and cause the steering shaft to come apart.

If that happens, it could cause the driver to lose control of the vehicle. Feds are trying to figure out if the problem is significant enough to merit a recall.

This affects 70,000 2011 Sante Fes. NHTSA says one driver complianed about a total loss of steering. But, so far, no reports of injuries or crashes are linked to the problem.
