DANVILLE, KY (USA TODAY)--Joe Biden arrived in Kentucky Thursday, ready to come out swinging in the night's debate against Paul Ryan.
"Looking forward to it," Biden told reporters at New Castle Airport, not far from the debate site at Centre College.
Biden indicated he will go straight at the Mitt Romney running mate.
A reporter asked Biden if he plans to "rope-a-dope" -- the boxing term that describes how fighters rest against the ropes, waiting for the opponent to punch themselves out. Muhammad Ali used the tactic to defeat the younger George Foreman in 1974.
"You ever see me rope-a-dope?" replied the voluble Biden.
Ryan, who arrived in Kentucky Wednesday, told CNN's Dana Bash he's also looking forward to the clash.
"I know how he'll come and attack us," Ryan said. "The problem he has is, he has Barack Obama's record he has to run on."
