KENTLAND, Md. (WUSA) -- Wednesday morning, a child who was allegedly abducted by his father in the 7500 block of Landover Road was found at school, say authorities.

Wednesday morning, the father allegedly took the 4-year-old boy from a gas station on Landover Road and fled with the boy in a black car.The car, which had DC tags, was reportedly found in a driveway outside a house on Hawthorne Street.

Eight police officers were outside the home for a while but later left the scene.

Then, the boy was later found at his school and his father may have taken him there.

Some possible charges are pending, we are told.

Police are still trying to hammer out some details, such as who has custody of the boy.
