WASHINGTON (WUSA) - According to the U.S. Census Bureau, 6 million Americans did not vote in the 2008 election because they missed their state's voter registration deadline.

On November 6, 2012, we will be electing a President, a Vice-President, members of the U.S. Senate, all 435seats in the House of Representatives,and state and local offices. To make sure your voice is heard in 2012, participate in National Voter Registration Day, which takes place Tuesday, September 25 throughout the U.S.
