WALDORF, Md. (WUSA) -- A 34-year-old man is accused of lying about his age twice in an incident involving sexual activity with a 14-year-old girl in August.

According to Charles County Sheriff's Office authorities, investigators were contacted in August about a sexual assault in Waldorf, Md. in which the 14-year-old met a person claiming to be a 17-year-old boy online. The two "teens" agreed to meet and during that meeting they engaged in sexual activity. After the sexual activity, the male told the girl he was actually 24 years old.

The girl later told her parents. The parents contacted police.

The following month, the detectives heard the male was trying to meet the 14-year-old again and went to her neighborhood. Authorities say when the male got out of his car, they arrested him.

The male was identified as 34-year-old Kirk Douglas Yancey of Capitol Heights. He is charged with third-degree sex offense and solicitation of a minor.

Now, detectives want to hear from any other minors who have met with Yancey and had sexual contact. If you have any information, please call Detective C. Gass at 301-609-6522.
