(WUSA) -- Friday afternoon, Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to the 4600 block of Clay Street for a report of suspicious activity and found a man leaving the back of a home through a broken sliding glass door. They also found a van in the cul-de-sac with another man inside of it.
According to authorities, 31-year-old Jason Lee Lawhorn of Orange was caught leaving the residence. He was charged with Breaking and Entering and Possession of Burglarious Tools after police say he attempted to steal electronic equipment.
The man in the van was identified as 21-year-old Billy Lee Cooper, also of Orange. Authorities say he was waiting on Lawhorn. Cooper was charged with Accessory to Breaking and Entering.
Both men are being held in jail without bond.
Authorities say all the items were returned to the residents of the home.
