New York, NY (Sports Network) - The New York Rangers have agreed to terms with Steve Eminger on a new contract.

The 28-year-old defenseman had been an unrestricted free agent, but opted to re-sign with the Rangers for whom he played 42 games last season. He missed 32 games due to injury, including 20 games from Dec. 20 to Feb. 5 with a separated shoulder.

Selected 12th overall by Washington in the 2002 draft, Eminger has registered 19 goals and 77 assists in 453 career games with the Capitals, Flyers, Lightning, Panthers, Ducks and Rangers.
