TIMONIUM, Md. (WUSA) -- Several hundred fans were escorted out of the Maryland State Fairgrounds during a concert on Saturday.
As the fans were getting ready for The Band Perry, a country music group, to hit the stage fairground officials asked everyone to leave as storms moved in.
After an hour and a half delay the band took the stage but after four songs they got pulled off again due to lighting. The remainder of the show was cancelled.
Fans were disappointed but officials weren't taking any chances after the stage collapse at the Indiana State Fair last year during inclement weather.
