STAFFORD, Va. (WUSA) -- The Stafford County Sheriff's Office says an anonymous donor gave $50,000 to be rewarded to the person who has information that could lead to the suspect in the murder of Samih Mustafa Sowan.

Sowan, who was the owner of the Subway on Walpole Street, was killed on March 1, 2011 at 35 Fife Street in Stafford County. Sowan was found dead from a gun shot wound in the basement of an apartment he was renting.

Witnesses told police that they saw two black males running from the apartment and then getting into a light colored, small or mid-size sedan. The sedan was last seen leaving the area on Courthouse Road.
