WHITE POST, Va. (WUSA) - The Clarke County Sheriff's Department is searching for John Archie Tigney wanted in a shooting Saturday evening.

On July 21 at approximately 9:16 p.m. the Sheriff's Office received a call about a shooting at the 100 block of Double Toll Gate Road in White Post, Va. When officers arrived they found a man with gunshot wounds to his lower leg. The victim refused medical attention on the scene.

Tigney was identified as the shooter and is described as a 65-year-old black male, 5'10", 205 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue short sleeve shirt and dark blue pants. He is possibly armed with a rifle or shotgun. Felony warrants have been obtained for Tigney for possession of a firearm after being convicted of a felony.
