BRANDYWINE, Md. (WUSA) -- Francis Washington Jr., 57, is behind bars on Friday after fatally shooting a man.

On July 12th, at approximately 4:32 p.m. Prince George's County Police responded to a call about a shooting at the 11100 block of Cross Road Trail. Upon arrival, officers found the victim, 69-year-old Thomas Francis Washington, shot inside the home and was pronounced dead on scene.

The investigation revealed the incident stemmed from a domestic-related dispute over a spare tire. Francis Washington, Jr. and Thomas Washington were cousins.

Francis Washington, Jr. was arrested and charged with first degree murder.
