LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. (WUSA) --Loudoun County Sheriff's Office authorities are looking for 21-year-old Darryl S. Jackson, Jr. of Winchester, Va. after he fled during a traffic stop Tuesday night.

Authorities say at approximately 6:15 p.m.Jackson was driving a vehicle faster than the posted speed limit in the area of Route 7 and Bell Road near Round Hill. A Loudoun County Sheriff's deputy tried to stop him. Jackson appeared as if he was going to stop, but then sped away, say authorities. Jackson drove his car onto Route 287 north where he crashed just north of Baker Mill Road.

During the drive, another vehicle was forced off the roadway into a ditch. The driver of the second vehicle was not injured, according to authorities.

Authorities say Jackson was not alone in the car and the four people were seen fleeing from the car on foot. A fifth person from the vehicle was taken into custody at the scene. Three of the fleeing people were caught.

One person was a 17-year-old male from Sterling, Va. who had an active detention order. He was taken to the Loudoun County Juvenile Detention Center.

Additionally, a firearm was found inside the vehicle. authorities also say they received information that Jackson had brandished the firearm at one of the people during the pursuit.

A helicopter and canines were used to look for Jackson but he has not yet been found.Authorities want him forfelony eluding, felony hit and run, reckless driving, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, brandishing a firearm and driving on a revoked license.
