WOODBRIDGE, Va. (WUSA) -- A family member of a stabbing victim is wanted for burglary and for maliciously wounding his relative, according to Prince William County Police.
Joseph Atney Judkins is wanted after he reportedly stabbed a man on June 16 at about 4:59 p.m. According to police, Judkins and the victim are known family members. The victim was staying with relatives in the 4500 block of Shotwell Ct. in Woodbridge. Judkins came to the home earlier in the day, left, and returned, entering without permission through a window.
He and the victim got into an altercation. Judkins reportedly stabbed the man in the torso and hit him in the head with a hammer. The victim walked down the street to get help and met the caller who contacted police. The victim, a 33-year-old man from Alexandria, was flown to a hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries. The victim initially reported to police that he had been approached by an unknown man who stabbed him.
Police obtained warrants for Judkins, but have not been able to locate him. Judkins, 21, is wanted for malicious wounding and burglary, and is described as a black male, 6'0" / 145 lbs with black hair and brown eyes.
