WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- Obviously when current Redskins Head Coach Mike Shanahan built his house 35,000 square foot mansion in Denver, he had planned on staying there awhile. Then following the 2008 season, the Shanahan was canned by owner Pat Bowlen.
The elaborate estate features an elevator, a bowling, an arcade, a poker room, a video golf driving range, a racquetball court and a "wine residence." And there's certainly plenty more luxuries that we are not privileged to learn about.
As current Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning searches for his ideal residence in Denver, the Shanahan's are letting Manning stay in their mansion.
How funny would it be if Manning threw the biggest party ever and completely trashed the house? Or even better, what if Manning decided not to move out? There's enough room in the house to hide, survive, and even thrive when the Shanahan's come home for bye weeks and the offseason.
But seriously though, if you aren't hosting friends on a weekly basis, what is the point of a house that large?
