WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- According to WTOP's Dave Johnson, Team USA has chosen John Wall to be part of the select team.

The 2008 select team featured Derrick Rose, Russell Westbrook, Kevin Love and Kevin Durant, just to name a few. This year's select squad will practice alongside the actual Team USA in July and is seen as a training ground for future Olympians.

Wizards fans should be very encouraged by Jerry Colangelo's decison to include Wall in the process. As Bullets Forever's Mike Prada detailed today, Wall is becoming one of the best passers in the league.

Wall's final stat line in 2011-2012: 16.5 points, 8.0 assists and 4.5 rebounds.

My only question: Had Jeremy Lin remained healthy throughout the year, don't you think the New York Knick gets chosen over Wall?
