SILVER SPRING, Md. (WUSA) -- Montgomery County Police confirmed that officers did pull over "Batman" and his "Batmobile" in Silver Spring on Wednesday.

Photos of the traffic stop have been circulating on Facebook and police posted three photos of officers with Batman on its Facebook page on Friday afternoon.

Montgomery County Police wrote: "Yes, Batman was stopped by officers on Wednesday, March 21, on southbound Route 29 at Prelude Drive, Silver Spring,for no tags on Batmobile."

Police didn't give any further details about the tags or registration, or if Batman faces any charges.
