LEXINGTON PARK, Md. (WUSA) -- St. Mary's County authorities have arrested another person for stealing money from a Family Dollar in Lexington Park in December.
Detectives arrested Lloyd E. Palmer of Clinton, Md. on Friday for conspiring with Rachel E. Bowles to rob the store and then stealing cash from the Family Dollar on Dec. 24, 2011.
Bowles was arrested on Jan. 20 after an investigation and charged with theft more than $1,000 but less than $10,000 and false statement to a police officer. Authorities say she told detectives that a man entered the store, assaulted a clerk and stole cash, but the Bureau of Criminal Investigations found that Bowles coordinated the robbery to steal store money for herself.
She was released on personal recognizance.
Palmer was been charged with theft $1,000 to $10,000 and later released from the St. Mary's County Detention Center on personal recognizance.
