FREDERICKSBURG, Va. (WUSA) -- A Spotsylvania man allegedly tried to pass a forged prescription for Oxycodone and when it was denied, he jumped a counter, threatened a Walgreen'sPharmacy technician and took 49 bottles, say authorities.

Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Office authorities say that 31-year-oldJason Elliot entered the Walgreen's at 10600 Rollingwood Dr. in Fredericksburg on Thursday shortly before 9:30 p.m. The technician told deputies that Elliot tried to pass a forged prescription for oxycodone and showed his driver's license but she refused to fill the prescription and he got angry. She then told deputies that he jumped the counter and threatened her with a knife, which he never took out.

Elliot allegedly was able to get away with 49 100-count bottles of Oxycodone and fled in a pink colored Honda, which was later identified as his girlfriend's car.

A deputy later spotted the car parked a short distance away from the store and saw a female passenger who was upset. She told thedeputy that she had gotten into an argument with her boyfriend -- Jason Elliot.

The deputy saw a man matching Elliot's description near a house. Elliot ran back to the car and, authorities say, he attempted to get the stolen Oxycodone from under the passenger seat. There was a struggle between Elliot and the deputy but other deputies showed up and Elliot wasarrested.

Elliot is charged with robbery and is beingheld without bond.
