WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- Police have arrested the man who allegedlyfired shots at the White House Friday night, according to Pennsylvania State Police and Secret Service.

Oscar Ortega Hernandez was found in an Indiana, Pennsylvania hotel around 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Special agent Edwin Donovan says he remains in custody at this time.

Ortega-Hernandez's acquaintance, who didn't want to be named, provided some insight as to why he may have allegedly fired shots at the White House.

"He compared President Obama to the anti-christ," the suspect's acquaintance said. "He seemed pretty sincere in what he believed, but he seemed very troubled."

Hernandez used a cheap but powerful Chinese- made assault rifle when he fired shots at the White House. His SKS rifle carried rounds high-powered enough to crack a bullet resistant window, even after traveling one-third of a mile from Constitution Avenue.

The Secret Service has discovered a smashed window and another round outside the White House, but has declined so far to publically link the damage to Hernandez.

The SKS is the same weapon that Francisco Martin Duran used when he attacked the White House from Pennsylvania Ave in October, 1994.
