WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- On Thursday, the SPCA/Humane Society Of Prince George's County, Maryland brought Peter on Petline 9 at noon.

Peter is a 4-year-old, 25-pound Beagle Mix. He has a beautiful brown and white coat.

You might find it helpful to know that Peter is already neutered, mostly house trained, crate trained, up-to-date with shots.

According to his fosterer, Peter is a snuggler. He enjoys the company of other dogs and he might be agreeable to a cat. He would prefer to live in a quiet house without kids. Peter is good around kids but needs a calm environment.

He must have a fenced yard as he does not enjoy leash walks. He has a low activity level and is just getting started with training.

His fosterer tells us Peter's first couple years were spent with a human who wasn't very nice to him so he's working on trusting humans again. Once he learns that he can trust you, you will have a best friend for life.

Are you the one he's been waiting to snuggle up to? If you are interested in Peter, fill out an adoption application (https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1zIHnSOJGQ2YUNoQttR6HM3jXoQbBlvQ8llR36sZacPg/viewform).
