WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- Meet Meyer, a 5-year-old blond shepherd mix.
The new year didn't start off too well for this handsome boy, who was relinquished to the Washington Animal Rescue League when his family moved to a home where pets are not allowed. Although he's acclimated to life at the shelter and gets lots of attention from staff and volunteers, Meyer would much rather have a real home.
He's friendly, calm, and polite with people and other dogs, so he'd fit well in almost any family situation. Plus, if his adopter is 50 years or older, Meyer's adoption fee will be waived as part of WARL's Boomers' Buddies program.
