WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- Washington Animal Rescue League's new pet of the week is Figaro.
This 9-week-old puppy arrived from down South with several litter mates, who Washington Animal Rescue League veterinary staff quickly discovered had been exposed to Parvovirus, a contagious and potentially deadly viral infection. Figaro and his siblings were quarantined, and none of them became sick.
Now that they've been given the medical "all clear," they're eagerly awaiting homes of their own, where they will be loved, exercised, trained…and given appropriate preventive medical care for the rest of their lives.
