KANSAS CITY, Mo. (WUSA9) -- A video of a Kansas City police officer dancing is bringing a smile to people's faces nationwide.

The video was posted on the Kansas City, Missouri Police Department's Facebook page on August 11 and shows the officer having a dance-off with some teens in a neighborhood.

The department wrote, "We love this video one of our followers shot last night of an East Patrol officer losing a dance-off to neighborhood kids. Thanks @Vu Nguyen for sending! Maybe we'll start including dancing as a course at the Academy, because it sure looks like we could use it..."

According to WTVR the officer had a signature move during the dance-off: "He used a dance move involving arm flailing and toe tapping that he called 'The Octopus.'"
